I don’t recall seeing this name referenced in my genealogy pages. I have traced our direct line back to Wilder’s entry into the US in the late 18th century.

Winthrop J. Whitaker: You may be interested in my new book “Charlie Chan,” which is getting a lot of attention in the media. The book has a chapter on the Wilders and their relation to Chang Apana, the real Charlie Chan. I believe we may be relatives. I have a father, Lawrence Wilder Whitaker who is passed away. My son is now Mark Wilder Whitaker. We have a geneology chart that relates to the Wilder clan. Believe that Laura Ingalls Wilder is on the chart.
Have a Phi Bete Kappa Key passed down in the family, that may have been from Samual Wilder.
My family history contains many that were reverends and missionaries.
Do not know how I ended up in Hawaii, but somehow came here .
Could there be a link?

I am not in contact with anyone from the Wilder family. You might try posting a query on the Wilder surname message board on rootsweb. If you are lucky, someone who is related to the family might see the message and contact you. The only other suggestion would be to contact the owner of the property in question. Good luck!

Aloha, a fantastic collection of fascinating bits and pieces about a very interesting woman. I’m working on a project obliquely related to the Wilders, including Helen K. Wilder, and I’m particularly interested in tracking down a photo of their family residence, Eskbank. I have the image, but am trying to contact any of the family members regarding the permissions to use the image. I would appreciate if you could give me any leads.
